About Me

I am so happy to meet you here in blogland.  I am a retired teacher/librarian with 35 years experience with Pre-K through 5th grade children.  I love sharing ideas and products that I used in my school library to make the library accessible for curriculum support, student research and most importantly for matching students with the 'perfect' book.  My classroom experience, mostly in 1st grade, taught me the importance of true task analysis when introducing something new to little ones.  The foundation is absolutely 'everything' in learning.  So, Made For Learning is my way to share ideas for making primary classrooms and school libraries nurturing places for students to learn and thrive.
